5 out of 5 stars Very good for Trigger Point work   July 22, 2010

This product is a hand saver for trigger point work. This is a very small helpful tool, I have used it for self care as well in my job as a bodyworker for specific work-(great for deep foot work). I highly recommend The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief, Second Edition by Clair Davies, for those suffering from chronic undiagnosable pain in conjunction with the Knobble. Trigger points may not be the problem for you, but I have had clients that have tried everything else, and are worried they will be in pain forever, and for many of them this has been a godsend in terms of pain relief. The Knobble is a great tool- and portable and easy to use. I would recommend for self care having on hand 2 tennis balls and a racket ball, and the knobble. For those who want more the Thera Cane Massager or Body Back Buddy and travel size version of "The Stick" are helpful as well.

5 out of 5 stars Save your thumb with this thumbsaver!   June 22, 2010

Sure, the design could be improved..a softer tip would be wonderful! Sizewise, it fits my palm fine. The wonderful part of using this is being kinder to my thumbs.

This thing is awful. For one....it's tiny. You look at it and think, "I paid [...] bucks for this?" What's worse, it is incredibly uncomfortable. I thought this would be an easy way to stave of knots in my back between massages, but I would recommend continue looking. Don't bother with this.

I sit in consultations all day long and am prone to back spasms which are debilitating. I decided to try this little gadget as simple as it seemed. I can only say that this piece of hard plastic has changed all those issues. First, like everyone has said, it is easy to hold and the point of the plastic gets right into a muscle that is tight. Once you apply pressure you can feel how many other areas are affected by a muscle that is locked up. Eventually said muscle begins to relax which, for me, means that the spasms do not take place. I guess you can say it is used as a preventative measure.

I've also used this on my husband's sore shoulder after his golf game and he loves it. Not to mention using it watching TV or upon awakening if the muscles are stiff.

For the price I would urge you to try it, not much to lose and lots to gain.

This little tool has turned out to be a great purchase. Very affordable and functional. My boyfriend's thumbs no longer hurt from having to push on my knots in my back!
