I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday and he absolutely loves it! I was a little wary because of the low price, but I really recommend buying it if you want a nice massage. This is not a very fancy massager, so if that's what you're looking for you may want to look elsewhere. I'm not sure why it says color may vary because the picture is exactly what came to me in the mail. Great item for the price.

If you haven't tried one of these scalp massagers before, you don't know what you're missing. I've always enjoyed it when my boyfriend runs his fingers through my hair and this gives is just about the same feeling, but a little better! It's very relaxing and a nice little way de-stress. Quite often these are sold in mall kiosks for $20+, so purchasing here on Amazon for under $5 is a great deal!

Loved It
A roommate of mine had this and after using it I knew that I HAD to have one. You won't regret it, I promise you that. It sends a delightful tingle through your head down to your spine.

I carry a lot of tension in my head, so I thought a scalp massager would be a great solution. Being the thrifty gal that I am, I looked for a cheap one.
This product is what I came up with. I figured it must be good, since the reviews are mostly raves.
Um, not so much. At first it tickles the scalp, which I admit I like. But after about 10 seconds it no longer tickles and basically is just an annoyance. It doesn't "massage" like you would expect. The rubbery nubs on the ends of the tines are just too small to cover any surface area. And it is constructed in such a way, there is very little pressure applied to your head.
The experience I was looking for was something similar to the head massage you get at a salon whilst being shampooed. But what I got with this product was more like a little spider dancing around my head, minus the terror that that would instill in me.
Pretty worthless. Luckily it was cheap and I don't feel bad about giving it a try.
I think the biggest highlight for me was the packaging. The typos on the box were really amusing.
If you like a VERY LIGHT "massage" this might be good for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste the money.

This is smaller than other scalp massagers that I tried before, but works as good. It gives me goose bumps and makes me giggle every time!
I keep it in the narrow tube plastic container that it came in, so it is very easy to store.
