Amazon.com Product Description Cycling improves your cardiovascular health, boosts the functioning of the heart and blood vessels, and decreases your risk of heart disease. Now you can enjoy all the benefits of cycling without spending a ton of money with the affordable InStride XL cycle from Stamina Products. Unlike most exercise bikes, the InStride XL cycle doesn't come with a seat. Instead, you sit in a standard dining room chair or lie on the floor, then insert your feet into the sturdy rubber straps. Once you're in, you can pedal in forward or reverse motion, with an adjustable tension knob that lets you vary your intensity and an electronic monitor that times your workouts. As an alternative, you can even rest the InStride XL on a table and pedal with your hands to experience a full-range upper body workout. Improving your cardiovascular health isn't the only benefit of cycling, of course. It also increases HDL (good cholesterol), reduces the amount of triglycerides in the blood, and helps lower blood pressure. And thanks to the dual-use pedals, you can improve your muscle strength in your legs, arms, shoulders, and back, depending on the configuration you choose. Other cycling benefits include increased flexibility without stressing the joints, improved digestion, better lung function, and a higher metabolism. The InStride XL cycle, which includes non-slip rubber feet, measures 19 by 12.25 by 15.25 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 9 pounds.

Returned the item July 28, 2010 J. Senter (Connecticut) This was not stable even on carpet. The tension was also not very adjustable. Seemed cheaply made. The floor grips did not stay in one place. They were always twisting and turning.
Limited Value for Me July 24, 2010 Sage Hunter (PacNW) This item is only good for exercise motion. Gets too hot if you apply pressure to the rotation. Probably not adequate for most people who want to strengthen leg or knee.
In Stride Cycle June 28, 2010 Judith Campbell (Tallmadge, OH USA) I bought this product to replace another, less expensive similar product by another manufacturer. The other cycle snapped in half after 2 months of moderate use. This one is far sturdier. The pedals are attached directly to the product, not sautered on, like the other one. I am very pleased with this one, and the price was good.
Nice workout; easy on the knees June 23, 2010 JBW (Metro Maryland) I purchased my Instride Cycle XL to exercise after tearing the meniscus in my knee. Physical therapy got me to the point where I could finally cycle, but not with a normal bike, which would put strain on the knee. This fun little job does the trick. Yes, it has slipped when just on the wood floor, but once I position it against my desk, centered against the leg of one kneehole, it doesn't move at all. The timer thing is totally useless; it would have been much better if it had "mileage" or cardio, but for the money, you can't ask for much more. I cycle while at my computer, watching tv or reading, and it definitely works the legs and a bit of the upper body if you position yourself correctly on the chair. I use weights to exercise my arms and upper body, but you can put it on a table and use the pedals to exercise your arms. I would highly recommend it!
In stride cycle June 23, 2010 C. Donaldson (Lynbrook, New York United States) I purchased this piece of equipment for my father who suffers with Parkinson's disease. The doctor told him he needed to do cycling because it would be good for his brain. I didn't think that he would be able to get on and off a regular excercise bike so I was excited to find this. It perfectly fit the bill. He can sit in a sturdy chair and pedal away and even put it on the table and use it for his arms. It is very sturdy. And the price was right!
